Matthieu Leger, was born in 1987 in London, Ontario, Canada. After graduating from University College Falmouth he received the Sir Richard Ford Award to study at the Prado Museum. He has since exhibited successfully in galleries and museums across the UK and won multiple awards, including the Trevor Thomas Prize (2014) and the Leicester Museums Trust Prize (2017).
He lives and works in the Midlands, UK. Outside the studio, he enjoys exploring landscapes, climbing, hiking, and cycling.
His favourite drink is an imperial stout.
